Under Armour is enjoying some success with the Heater in spite of of the bad press it is getting regarding its
alleged role in the injuries to its key marketing face, Jose Reyes.
Sporting UA's
synthetic Nubuck
uppers the company promises lightweight durability, and not a little good looks. UA engineered HeatGear liners help to draw perspiration away from the foot and keep socks dry, while what UA calls "strategic" mesh provides top of the line breathability. Combined with the
TPU mid-foot cage
the shoe offers quite a package of cool and comfortable, stability. They use TPU for the
outsole
too, to mount a rotational traction cleat configuration that end users claim allows superior lateral and stop/ start manoueverability. For you pitchers, the shoes come with a built in toe gaurds to reduce abrasions and prolong shoe-life. A full length, trademarked ArmourBound
midsole
helps disperse cleat pressure while providing excellent cushioning. Extra comfort is provided by an
EVA sock liner.
