Neutral Pronation
“Normal” Foot Movement (technically defined as “neutral pronation”) is when... 1) we initially make contact to the ground with the outside (back) part of our heel. Here is a picture of that initial "heel strike".

3) this transfer from heel to metatarsus is in a somewhat inward direction, and 4) at the point in our movement when the weight is evenly distributed over our metatarsus, our knee needs to be directly above our big toe.
