It seems like the Mizuno’s are sized very small and therefore a size 4 is possibly a “typical” size 2. The whole subject of sizing is very difficult and hard to explain and we therefore recommend that you go to a local sports shoe store and try on a pair of the G5’s before purchasing these cleats online. In general for these Mizuno's, you should probably order a 1.5 size bigger shoe than what you or your son typically wear. Also note, many of the online sports stores have a free return policy (however, you might have to pay for the shipping charges). Hundreds of professional baseball players wear Mizunos and Ricky Henderson ran all the way to the Hall of Fame in his Mizunos. There is no question that Mizuno can make top line baseball cleats. Therefore, we highly recommend Mizuno Youth Baseball Cleats if you are able to get the correct size for your feet.
