adiPrene and Adidas Cleats
adiPrene is a cushioning system engineered by Adidas said to provide both enhanced propulsion and resiliency. This combination provides a competitive advantage in the "off the line" acceleration found most obviously in sprinting, but also key in the sports covered by cleats-info (with the exception of golf, of course).
The substance retains the users natural
forefoot
movement while helping to focus the energy at the fulcrum of the acceleration action: the balls of the feet.
It is also more durable than
EVA,
though it is also low in weight.
The material is said to enhance "force transfer", from leg to foot to forefoot, to the playing surface, again enhancing performance in the critical "off the mark" phase of play - whether out of the blocks, off the line of scrimmage or at the crack of the bat.
