Ringor Diamond Star Wide

Ringor Diamond Star Wides, represent yet another example of Ringor going out of its way to satisfy the women's fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball market.

(The only pic of the wides we could find was one of the "American Spirit" collectibles, customised for the Beijing Olympics).

Read more about what we think of Ringor generally, here.

Featuring Ringor's classic, patented, Ring Grip Cleat Pattern in conjunction with their innovative Flex Point technology, (which allows for just the right sort of movement within the shoe), the Diamnod Star Wide offers unsurpassed traction plus comfort for the wide footed lady.

Combined with the F.A:S:T Arch Support system, the only other Womens Softball shoe on the market even remotely comparable to these, is a more recent Ringor release called the Ringor Diamond Gem, But we think the Gem's beat their older cousins on mostly, only a cosmetic basis, so if you have a wide foot, you definitely need to opt for the Diamond Star Wides (as the Gems don't yet come with the wide option).

All of the above sits superbly on a lightweight TPU molded outsole.

The Diamond Star Wide also come with the Pro-Tec-Toe, option, a factory installed toe gaurd designed to help pitchers' cleats last longer.

Here is what on softball dad said about his daughter's cleats:

"DD is a 95 pitcher and loves her Ringors (Diamond Star with Pro-Tec-Toe) because they fit her size 12W feet well.

I love her Ringors because she only goes through a pair per season. She actually wears the rubber cleats off before there is a hole in the toe. This year she is moving to the metal spikes so we will see how long THEY last.

She drags the inside toe very heavily and before the Ringors, we tried Nike and Mizuno. Both of the other brands lasted 6 weeks at the most.

The Diamond Star cleat is a lighter cleat than the original Play-Maker cleat and now they have the Diamong Gem which is supposedly ultra light. We haven't tried the Diamond Gem because they have a lot of mesh. "

All in all, a superb shoe- and for the wide footed- probably a must have!
