National League Baseball Teams Projections for 2010 - already at the end of January?Call us brave, or just call us starved for Spring Training, but at Cleats-Info we have already fired up the trusty Excel Spreadsheet and have input player ratings - player by player - for 2010, as the rosters stand today (February 2). We can generate division standings and projected games back for each team, and predict the Wild Card Race. Here is what our crystal ball is seeing, so far, for 2010. National League East
Very much a one team show, expect a demonstration of Philly Dominance!(Click on each team to get our take on their chances for 2010, and of course to have a look at some cleats while you are there). Projected finish, Cleats-Info Power Rating and Games Back
1) Phillies (66.31) - GB

4) Mets (53,84) - 18 GB
5) Nats (50.08) - 23 GB
National League Central
No dominant national league baseball teams, but four to five above average teams, may make this the most interesting race of 2010. (Click on each team to get our take on their chances for 2010, and of course to have a look at some cleats while you are there). Projected finish, Cleats-Info Power Rating and Games Back
1) Cubs (61.97) - GB
2) Cardinals (61.24) - 1 GB
3) Brewers (60.44) - 2 GB
4) Reds (58.45) - 5 GB
5) Astros (56.19) - 8 GB
6) Pirates (50.40) - 15 GB
National League West
Everyone except the Dodgers improved so far this off season, but we still see LA having enough to defend their division title.(Click on each team to get our take on their chances for 2010, and of course to have a look at some cleats while you are there). Projected finish, Cleats-Info Power Rating and Games Back
1) Dodgers (61.90) - GB
2) Rockies (60.45) - 2 GB
3) Giants (59.82) - 3 GB
4) Padres (58.04) - 5 GB
5) D-backs (56.36) - 8 GB
Wild Card
Interesting National League Baseball Teams projection here, the Braves aren't the strongest wild card candidate in our book, but because they play in the East, they may sneak in. Expect the Rockies, Giants, Padres and D-backs in the West and the Cards, Cubs, Brewers and Reds in the Central to basically knock each other out of the way for the Braves - who really have no one in their division to worry about, outside of Philly.
Projected finish, Cleats-Info Power Rating and Games Back
1) Braves (59.91) - GB
2) Rockies (60.45) - 1 GB
3) Giants (59.82) - 2 GB
4) Cards/ Padres (61.24 / 58.04) - 4 GB
5) Brewers / Marlins (60.44 / 56.81) - 5 GB
Play-Off Scenario
Well, we predicted how the divisions will finish in September... we might as well tell you our National League Projections MLB for October too:We see the Phillies as the number one seed over the Cubs, and the Dodgers as number two seed over the Wild Card Braves.... In the NLCS, in a repeat of the past two seasons, its gotta be the Phillies over the Dodgers again.... We know, boring, but the Phillies are still in a league of their own in the NL. The real excitement will probably come from the NL Central, which has about five teams that "if all the pieces come together" could make life difficult for Philly in the post season. In the World Series, we have the Phillies over the Yankees in five er.. stop the presses the Javier Vazquez trade now makes the Yankees favorites to repeat... until that deal, the Yankees had some serious issues with the back of their rotation... You heard it here first! -end national league baseball teams -
