Inserts For Cleats

Inserts for Cleats:

It is very confusing in defining and determining the differences between an insole, inserts, a footbed, othoses, orthotics and a sockliner. When we start talking about inserts it is probably best to start with some pictures...

So you know what we are talking about now.

When you buy a pair of cleats... they usually come with an insert. Often times these inserts are removable and replaceable. There are two reasons behind the need for removable and replaceable inserts.

1) If you have foot problems (e.g. flat feet, overpronation, etc...), then you might need a sports podiatrist to make special custom inserts to help your feet work better, reduce the possibility of injury and help improve your performance. We strongly recommend (even if you don't have foot problems now) that you schedule a visit to a sports podiatrist if you are a serious athelete. You will be surprised how much they can help in making sure your foot works properly during sports motions. And your feet not only affect your feet, but the entire body and especially the back and the back muscles, not to mention your speed and quickness!

2) The second reason we need removable and replaceable inserts is because usually inserts are made from EVA... and after a month the EVA breaks down and no longer retains its cushiony / bouncey properties. Again, if you are a serious athelete... replace your inserts once per month!
